Kellie Schueler signs letter-of-intent for Stanford

Kellie Schueler made her college choice for Stanford last July, so it came as no surprise when the Summit High (Bend) senior signed her letter-of-intent on Tuesday.

Schueler is a nine-time state champion, sweeping the 100-200-400 for three seasons in a row at the Class 5A level. She is the fastest Oregon sprinter in 40 years (11.68 in the 100, 23.69 in the 200, 54.25 in the 400). And she has extraordinary range — she was fourth in the Class 5A cross country meet in November.
